The Hollywood Bowl isn't just one of the best concert venues in America—for many LA families a visit to the Hollywood Bowl means summer has arrived. It means picnics, cozy blankets, binoculars, fireworks, sing-a-longs, music, movies, stars on the stage, and stars in the sky.

This summer all your favorites are here: fireworks with a duo of comedy legends on the 4th of July, the annual Sound of Music sing-a-long, and live-to-screen concert performances of favorite movies. In 2022 the Hollywood Bowl schedule includes two evenings featuring the incomparable Diana Ross and closes out with 80's megaband Duran Duran. So peruse our list of the family-friendly shows that we can't wait for and get ready for a very musical summer.

Tickets for individual concerts go on sale May 3. Ticket buyers can try their luck showing up in person; a limited number of patrons will be able to buy tickets that day at the box office. Line-up begins no earlier than 6am; a random drawing for ticket access is held at 8am. Sale hours on May 3 are 10am to 3pm.  Box office hours May 4-8 are 10am - 6pm. Thereafter, the box office is open Tuesday through Sunday, noon - 6pm.

Tickets can also be purchased online starting May 3 or by calling 323.850.2000 from 10am-6pm, 7 days a week. Registration for the free 101 Festival opens on May 10.

The Hollywood Bowl launches its 2024 season with a star-studded extravaganza celebrating the 100th birthday of Henry Mancini.  The 20-time Grammy winning composer of favorite songs and scores ranging from "Moon River" and the score for The Pink Panther appeared regularly on the Bowl's stage, conducting 29 times. .And to top the night off: fireworks!
