Saturday Mornings At The Opera
LA Opera thinks you're never too young to enjoy the classics, offering Saturday morning, hour-long, interactive performances.
From a bed of pillows, children enjoy an interactive, family-friendly opera under the glittering chandeliers of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Before each performance, kids can enjoy art and music-making activities in free workshops. For the March event, participants can craft a souvenir, take a fun dance class and learn how the stars breathe and sing with a real opera singer.
The March 2024 performance is Puccini Opera Tales - musical adventure inspired by the works of Puccini and written especially for young kids. Little opera-goers will witness scenes from La Boheme, The Girl of the Golden West, and Gianni Schicchi.
The program is designed for children 3 to 9 years old (but we welcome all ages). All children, regardless of age, must have a ticket to attend the performance.
