Admission to the Annenberg Beach House pool is usually ten dollars, but on summer Mondays, a discount is available. 3. Romeo and Juliet – Wednesday
Enjoy an outdoor picnic and presentation of Shakespeare’s romantic tragedy at the VA’s Japanese Gardens in West Los Angeles. This is a great work doing good work, as the program provides training and employment for our veterans. Military Personnel can enjoy the show for free.

4. Free Evening at MOCA – Thursday
Head downtown for some modern art. Both the Grand Avenue and Geffen Contemporary are free on Thursday evenings – a great excuse to slurp some noodles in Little Tokyo for dinner.

5. Bubble Party – Friday
Little Acorns Grow in Altadena hosts a bubble party for little kids. This is free, but reservations are required.

And, since a playful summer also needs a bunch of time playing games close to home, our SUMMER OF PLAY guide is full of ideas you can do any day of the week. Have a great one!
