The Blue and the Gray Civil War Reenactment
- see all dates
UPDATE: This event is no longer being held. Per Moorpark Rotary: "There will be no 2019 Blue & Gray Civil War Reenactment event this spring or thereafter until further notice."
History comes to life on the battlefields of...Moorpark?
Moorpark Rotary's Annual Reenactment is the largest Civil War battle reenactment west of the Mississippi. The event is held on land at the very west end of High Street, behind the Moorpark Post Office.
In addition to viewing the battles, attendees can visit the Union and Confederate encampments and the sutler tents (the general stores of the Civil War), learn how to dance like they did in the day, and observe life as it was during the Civil War.
Bleacher seat tickets for viewing the battles cost $4.
Please Note: Event is held rain or shine. Bleacher seats are optional, but preferable for the best viewing experience. Parking is $5 (VIP excluded) with free shuttles provided.
The website has directions to the location and parking.
