In today's digital age, kids are often missing out on the joy of running to the mailbox and finding something addressed to them—a letter from a pen pal, a card from Grandma, etc. But there are many companies and organizations that will send your child free stuff in the mail just by signing up online. Free Books and Magazines for Kids By Mail

1. Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program mails one free, high-quality book per month to children ages 0-5, no matter their family’s income. Enter your zip code online to see if the program is available in your area.

2. Tennessee Governor's Early Literacy Foundation

This program partners with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to send a free book each month to every Tennessee child ages 0-5. The books include beloved classics like The Little Engine That Could and the Llama Llama series, selected by a blue-ribbon committee of early childhood education experts.

3. PJ Library

PJ Library sends free, award-winning books that celebrate Jewish values and culture to families with children ages 0-12 every month. Joining the program online takes less than three minutes.

4. New Worlds Reading

Any Florida Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) student who is not yet meeting age-appropriate standards according to FAST Star Early Literacy, or any Florida public school or district-funded charter school student in grades K-5 who is not yet reading on grade level, is eligible to receive a free book and reading activities in the mail each month through the New Worlds Reading program. Books are available in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and braille.

5. Braille Books from American Action Fund

American Action Fund's Braille Books Program sends blind children a free braille book every other month from popular children's book series like I Survived and Clubhouse Mysteries.

6. LEGO Life Magazine

Little LEGO lovers can get a free subscription to LEGO Life Magazine, perfect for ages 5-9. They'll receive five issues per year packed with comics, activities, posters, creative build ideas, and more. Parents will especially love the Legoland coupons!

7. Netflix Family Magazine

Sign your child up to receive bi-monthly issues of Netflix Family Magazine, which features favorite Netflix characters from shows like CoComelon and Gabby's Dollhouse. Each issue includes games, stories, activities, and more.

8.Sesame Street Fire Safety Coloring Book

Kids ages 3-5 can receive a free fire safety coloring book in either English or Spanish from the US Fire Administration. Parents and teachers can also order a Family Guide or an Educators Guide to go along with it.

9. Derek the Dinosaur's Coloring Book About Lead

The Delaware Division of Public Health will send families a variety of literature about lead prevention and testing, including a coloring book that teaches kids about the dangers of lead.

10. Hasbro FunLab Toy Testing

Enroll your child in the Hasbro FunLab program and they may receive free toys in the mail to test out, then give their honest opinions in a virtual call or via surveys. Parents can sign up, too!
