Lake Eola Orlando: Top Things to Do with Kids

1. Swan Boats

Rent one of Lake Eola’s famous pedal-powered swan boats to really impress kids. Cruise around the lake in a giant swan (yes, really!) with the best views of downtown Orlando. Each boat fits up to five people and has a shady canopy.

2. Feed the Swans

Skip the bread and feed the Lake Eola swans the correct way. Use the three feeders around the lake that offer duck and swan-friendly treats (people-food can make them ill). It’s a fun, gentle way for little ones to connect with nature...and squeal when a swan gets close!

3. Playgrounds

Lake Eola has two playground areas— one for toddlers and one for bigger kids. They’re fenced in for safety and located right by the farmers market, so it’s easy to grab a snack and let the kids run wild.

4. Art Safari

Take a walk around the lake (it’s just under a mile) and turn it into a scavenger hunt. There are sculptures, gardens, and fountains to spot along the way, plus shady spots for resting tired little legs.

5. Fountain Light Show

Stick around after dark to see Lake Eola’s iconic fountain illuminated with colors that sync to music. Times vary, but the light show generally starts just after dusk and lasts about 6 minutes.

6. FREE Shows

The Walt Disney Amphitheater at Lake Eola hosts FREE family-friendly shows throughout the year, like outdoor movies, concerts, and dance performances. Bring a blanket and some popcorn, and you’ve got a perfect night out.
